What to Expect

Laying the Foundation for Total Health

In some ways, one could say that chiropractic care is a bit like building a house - certain things have to happen in a particular order in order for everything to stand strong and work together correctly. When building a house, if you tried to build your walls before you had a solid foundation, your walls would be weak and eventually may even collapse. If you tried to build your roof before the walls were ready, you would run into the same problem. These concepts apply to your body as well, and chiropractic care addresses many common reasons why people experience pain and other health issues. If something is not right with your body's foundation, than that needs to be addressed before true health can be achieved. With chiropractic care, your body has to go through a particular plan of care in order to repair itself correctly and fully. There are three general phases of chiropractic care . . .

Phase 1: Relief Care

If you are in pain when you come into our Westboro Ottawa chiropractic office, our first objective is to bring balance back to your body and nervous system. This helps your function to improve and helps you to start feeling better as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the underlying condition which is causing your pain, it is typical for a patient to need chiropractic care or adjustments 2-4 times per week for 4-12 weeks.

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care

During the corrective phase of chiropractic care, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, which helps prevent further injury or pain. The goal of corrective or restorative chiropractic care is to help bring your body back to 100% functioning. It is typical to need chiropractic care or adjustments about 4-8 times per month for 6-24 months, depending on your overall health is and the severity of your problem.

Phase 3: Wellness Care

Once your body has fully healed and you are no longer experiencing back pain or other pain symptoms, it is important to come in for periodic chiropractic adjustments to avoid further problems in the future and to increase your general well-being . Usually, this phase of chiropractic care only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor approximately 2 times per month, based on your lifestyle and goals.

Reviews From Our Satisfied Patients

  • "Dr.Craig has given me an amazing experience within the world of chiropractic care, every time I leave his office I feel fresh, whole, healthy and ready to start new. I've always been an advocate for a healthy lifestyle, through exercise and nutrition and now I'm absolutely certain that without receiving proper chiropractic treatment no one can be as healthy as they dream. I can honestly say that with my new knowledge of chiropractors and chiropractic care, I will be receiving adjustments until the day I die, I suggest everyone take a trip to visit Dr.Craig and his amazing team at Loving Life Chiropractic."
  • "Dr. Craig Hindson and Dr. Marie Claude Lambert at Loving Life Chiropractic in Ottawa have made a big impact on my spinal and overall health in just a few months. They have a very focused, professional, positive and caring approach to chiropractic care. As someone who knew very little about chiropractic, I had some misconceptions that have quickly been dispelled through my experiences, and I'm now a firm believer in the many health benefits. My neck, back and hips have not felt so good in many years, and my posture is improving markedly. I'm pleased that my wife is now improving her spinal health with Loving Life too. I highly recommend them and suggest you visit Craig or Marie-Claude for a consultation."

  • "Loving life chiropractic and their staff are kind hearted and knowledgeable people, ready to help you be the healthiest you can be.
When I first arrived at the loving life chiropractic offices I believed myself to be in perfect health and that the neck pain, sleep loss poor mobility I had looking over my right shoulder were normal. Through both physical treatment and education about my own body and it's inate healing abilities doctor Craig has done wonders for me. I think doctor Craig put it best when he said "after this you'll feel like an owl" at one of my adjustments, all I can say is that I do. It doesn't stop there either, my neck pain has subsided and I don't have as many problems getting my 8 hours every night.
Dr. Craig and his team at loving life chiropractic have opened my eyes to a world of healthier living and they can do the same for anyone who's alive with a spine, if you're reading this that means YOU!"

  • "It's a wonderful practice to go to. I have to say that along with the excellent treatment you recieve, what stands out the most about Loving Life is how human it is. Their main focus is your health but it's not like a factory where you're just another money bag to them. They offer classes on spinal health and always have these incredibly interesting things to show you so you get a better understanding on your soine and nerves. It's a great place where you're welcome to come and heal. I've had mass improvement with my health since being here and I would recommend this place to anyone. I live out on the Pontiac and I make the 40 minute drive here because it's worth it. My 9 month old son is treated here and where I thought it could be worrisome for a baby to receive chiropractic treatments, there would not be any other doctors that I would trust more than Dr. Craig and Dr.Marie-Claude."
